Management

Management /Modification /Studies

Main power. NXT to 9V; Adapter through battery and converter. PU controled 9V; PU HUB control relays who can cut and reverce the current from speed regulator. 

Light on trains. Picked up from engine. Before light diode there is a capacitor, a resistor and a directon diode.

 

 

Light in train from picked up will often use a diode bridge for constant light both ways.

 

Connection. Wireles bluetooth with Pybricks no limited.

NXT, 1 master to 3 servent, + IR link to 2 IR.

Scratch up to 4 Wedo or Sbrick hubs.

 

Wire connection. Manual connection via light sensor to NXT or color sensor to PU hub.

 

Converter and extention cord. For PU, other manufacturers supply plugs with cord and extension cord. For NXT converter to 9V is available but often I make them myself. 9V plug is the basic, use both old ones and self created. (see Modifi)

 

Double motor. Connect 9V + PU or PF motors. Use the pickup power source from the 9V motor for a PU or PF auxiliary motor and lights on the train.

 

 

Magnet connection. A magnet with several conductors is used for the puffs on the train. Magnets in bricks supported by copper tape to connect power between modules.

 

Sensor. Wedo 2.0 motion sensor. Used on a City or technic HUB with Pybricks.

An operator is inserted in a "Wait until true" block. Then place the sensor block to the one value.

 

Reed switch on track for NXT. Use the touch sensor blog. Modify tiles for placement of Reed switch on track and magnet under engine.

Signal. Powered with 9V battery Operated through two relays. Either from a device (hub/NXT) or taken from the rail.
At low current 5V and high 9V relay

 

 

Road Crossing. 2 x lamp block 80's and 2 x red motor 90's controlled by two motion sensors on technic hub with Pybricks.

Switch point. Where the stroke is made around the mechanism using spring attach.. (It is also possible to modify the resistance by removing the back plate)
